End of the Year Picnic
Thank you to Jane Ebbighausen for helping out with the coordination of this endeavor.
Hello Everyone,
I know all the kids are excited that school is almost over for the year. But before we let them go- we will be having an end of year celebration on Wednesday June 26th from 10 am to Noon. We hope to have a few games followed by a pizza lunch. In order to make this all go smoothly and to give Mr. Smith a little help- we need a few volunteers for the games. Plus, everyone is welcome to spend a little extra time with your fifth grader.
We need everyone to send in $5/student by Tuesday at the latest to cover the cost of the pizza. If you have any siblings attending, please send a little extra and a heads up so I will have plenty. To cover paper supplies and anyone able to help out, please sign up here:

Moving On Ceremony
Our Moving On Ceremony, also known as the Soaring Celebration, will take place on Friday, June 28th at 9:30 a.m. It will be in the cafeteria. The ceremony will involve all three remaining fifth grade classes, so it will be a bit crowded. If you are checking your child out after the ceremony, there will be a sign up sheet for you to sign. Thank you.

Field Closing
Beginning Monday, May 20th, the Brier Creek Elementary School play field will be closed for repairs and reseeding for approximately three months. This means no students will be allowed on the field during this restoration time. The administration of Brier Creek Elementary School have worked closely on an agreement with the administration of the Brier Creek Community Center for usage of the Brier Creek Recreation Park. Despite the park being next door to school campus, it is still considered off-campus. Therefore a permission slip is required. Permission slips went home with students on Wednesday, May 15th. Please sign the permission slip and return to your child's teacher as soon as possible. Thank you.
